Darmstadt has countless clubs, initiatives and cooperatives that breathe real fresh air into the local urban scene and public life. These groups are culturally, ecologically and socially committed and seek a self-determined life in line with their own values and also wish to influence the public sphere. Students from the Dept. of Architecture at Hochschule Darmstadt (h_da) have invited some of these cooperatives to talk with them about the values and motivation, and together think about the role of collectively used spaces.
