Experimental building and think labs for future coexistence in a region: How can that stack up at a place like the Mathildenhöhe?

Be it the use of space and resources, of design and material, of history, place and identity, or be it considering the expert opinion of citizens: Society is in a process of change and needs to rethink the relationship of culture, politics and (urban) space.

As part of the Osthang Project, the Mathildenhöhe as an experimental cultural project space will arise through creative interaction. The kick-off will be made by curators Jan Liesegang and Berno Odo Polzer presenting their concepts for the Summer School and the ‘Thinking Together’ format. The dinner talk will be moderated by the Osthang Project’s Artistic Directors, Kerstin Schultz of Darmstädter Architektursommer e. V. and Thomas Schäfer of the International Music Institute Darmstadt (IMD).
