As it is appropriate to the Mathildenhöhe context the Summer School for experimental building begins with furniture construction. In the immediate neighborhood to the artist colony museum with his Art Nouveau fitments like the Wertheim dining room by Peter Behrens one can experience how in Art Nouveau architecture, design and art were meant to merge into a Gesamtkunstwerk.
The 60 participants of the Summer School will design and build together with the tutors the furniture of the festival area and will atthe sametime reflect on how formative processes impact everyday life. Interested audience is welcome.
