» a partner project with Verein für Internationale Waldkunst e. V.
A plant from Darmstadt’s municipal forest will be moved to the Mathildenhöhe’s Osthang while the natural flora there will be dug up and replanted in the forest.
The ‘Biotope Grafts’ will take place as part of the 7th International Forest Art Trail ‘Art Biotope’, and will be performed by the team of French guest artists Les Fujak (Margrit Neuendorf and Olivier Huet). During the artistic project, elements of the city (culture) and of the forest (nature) biotopes will be swapped round. The transfer will take place from July 28 to August 15 at various art venues in Darmstadt, and the elements will be brought together at one place on the Forest Art Trail
The plant action on the Osthang on Wednesday, August 6, at 5 p.m. will also involve a discussion with Les Fujak. By way of counterpart, there will be a discussion with artists about the planting action with the Osthang flora on the Forest Art Trail on Thursday, August 7, at 5:30 p.m. Meeting point: the info booth at the Klappacherstrasse car park in the forest.
