In the fourth and last part of the Future Workshop we get down to brass tacks: We shall explore the bigger picture of all those ideas and interests that have been presented and devise strategies on how different usage and planning intervals to co-exist side by side. Proposals will be formulated in detail and organizational questions addressed: Which strategies are being adopted and what are possible structures for them? Which steps can be taken together with citizens, which areas require expert advice? How can the Osthang communication platform be maintained and upheld after the Summer of Architecture has finished?
The idea is to arrive at a result that will meet both the local requirements and the expectations of those participating in the Future Workshop and whose implementation will be jointly agreed by all.
In the ‘Future Laboratory Mathildenhöhe’ the Osthang’s potential will be highlighted: What should happen after the end of the Osthang Project and prior to permanent development of the site? What proposals do local citizens, local institutions and groups have for the design and use of the site? How can these be realized in organizational terms? The event will have four parts, spread across the entire duration of the Festival.
