The second part of the four-part Futures Workshop highlights the standpoints and initial ideas of the locals, of local institutions and groups. In an open discussion, experiences and expectations will be voiced, the local institutes will present their work and their ideas for the location. This will broker a dialog between the participating local citizens, institutions and groups, who will get to know one another. A keynote lecture on how Darmstadt sees itself in terms of urban culture will provide an additional source of inspiration.

In the ‘Future Laboratory Mathildenhöhe’ the Osthang’s potential will be highlighted: What should happen after the end of the Osthang Project and prior to permanent development of the site? What proposals do local citizens, local institutions and groups have for the design and use of the site? How can these be realized in organizational terms? The event will have four parts, spread across the entire duration of the Festival.
